Toasted. Rain is a coming.

Palm Springs, California.  Sitting at the pool at the Movie Colony Hotel.
That fog cleared out pretty well yesterday afternoon and the air sure felt a lot warmer than 60F in the sun. And we were even down along the water, on Its Beach.  Grey came back in over night, but was burnt off by mid morning on the West Side, and it got pretty warm out there today.  April sun sure is strong stuff.  But don't write winter off just yet.  The offshore system is dragging south, helping pump in some warm air.  This will push a plug of moisture south of us, focused at about Point Conception.  We will get wet too, but it is looking more showery for us around the SF Bay.  A lot of moisture will come ashore north of us as well, from the driving system that will focus at the OR border.  Tahoe is still looking at over an inch of precipitation, but higher freezing levels will keep the snow to a minimum.  With some luck, we could see a foot along the crest.  Not much sticking below 7000 feet.

Showers on Wednesday and low 60s.  Cold front moves through overnight and Thursday morning will start off in the mid 40s and top off around 60F.  Showers continue.  Again, that morning commute could be a doozy.  Friday will still see a clearing and warm up.  Back up into the upper 60s.  The weekend is still on track for high 60s and plenty of sunshine.  Next week looks like a continuation of this coming weekend.
